Earlier today I sent a post to the newbie list and the expert list,

You're welcome! A mailing list or newsgroup can be a great help. There
are newsgroups, I just don't remember there names offhand.

Iv'e been watching the mailing list and have seen many different
complaint's/problem's concerning (AIR) 7.0 release. I must admit I have
also found a few problems, however was able to easily find and resolve
those simply by verifying rpm install. I will tell everyone it did require

I have, but it really scattered files around the system. Some stuff was in
/var/majordomo some was in /usr/lib/majordomo ... ack!
In the end, I just created /home/majordomo as a symlink to /var/majordomo
and symlinked all of the other files

Yes, granted, if you're constantly adding new lists or tweaking the
configuration then yes, there is work to do. But once it's all in place and
you have no more changes to make, Majordomo requires no maintenance to keep
running.
And there are plenty

Can someone recommend a good, easy to use (preferably
perl-based) mailing list package for RedHat/Mandrake? My
boss gave me the job of coming up with a package to do
that.
Also keep in mind that it will probably be remotely
installed, configured and managed via ssh, so the easier
