In some pieces there are four- two voices. Shall I put them together
with the piano staff or in separate scores ?
I'm not quite sure what you mean by this, but the answer would be the
same in any case: all voice parts and the piano reduction go into a
single score. For sections where there is a

Hi David,
I used the key sig. tool and changed all keys up a step proportionately.
This is a feature which is relatively new to Finale and, on a guess, might
be the culprit, as opposed to changing each section in a different key up a

How did you transpose the file on your end?
Did you use the Mass Mover, or did you simply change the key signatures
appropriately?
I find it easiest to change key signatures to achieve what you need.
Try doing that and then sending him the file, if you haven't done it

Hello all,
I'm trying to send a finale (mac2k2b) file to someone w/ Notepad 2k3 for

we need in this instance so I thought I'd transpose the file on my end and

Is there software available to convert from audio to midi? I hadn't
heard of any that worked well enough to do more than simple music in a
single voice. Do let us know what you have found!

Have you tried unchecking it in the Window menu and then checking it

Thanks for clarifying my post -- I wasn't thinking clearly, apparently.

Thanks, Johannes, I was scratching my head as to what "system names" were.

You can change the position of the staff name in just one system with
the help of a Staff Style. Make a staff style that will replace the
abbreviated staff name with - the same name. Apply the staff style to
the appropriate part of the staff and you can drag the staff name
without affecting the
