Midi has no latency. Latency issues occur when a computer doesn't
have enough CPU power or a fast enough data bus or enough RAM and
the samples are too large for the system to handle easily.
Well, actually MIDI itself does have latency.
It's a serial communication language, so if I play a
From my experience, the number who would use the sounds without
upgrading is darned near zero. If the sounds could be mixed with other
synthesizer voices, then definitely it would be used a lot, but the

Don't do that before I've had coffee!

Well, obviously that's not the case. The vast majority of Finale users
don't buy a full Garritan product. In fact, I would guess that the

Years ago I bought Igor (by Noteheads). Now I switched to a very fast

I downloaded it in October 2002, and it's the same version still up now.
(I never bought it.)

Thanks, I'll try the phone first.

Barbara,
I would love to know if anyone answers and what they say.
I have had no luck via email and do not feel like calling Sewden from the USA.

The phone number is registered to an accountant consultancy.
Not to Noteheads.
There is no new versions, no development whatsoever.

I found another number that I will try tomorrow (past 12 o'clock over
here): (+46) 8-50-30-33-05.
If that doesn't work either, how on earth would I get my copy of Igor to
work?
I was secretly hoping for a response from Steve Parker. Maybe he left

That number is disconnected.
It used to go to the old office.

Honestly, you'll never use the pivot. I have a Dell 22 that can pivot (I
really don't know of any that cannot), but I never use it that way. I can
see all of what I want on it no problem.
I'd suggest looking for something that is high definition. Dell Monitors are
generally rated really high.
I pivot my wide-screen Dell quite often - whenever I am working on a
full orch score, or even a mid-sized combo. It is also great for
perusing full scores on line (such as at the IMSLP library).
It only takes a few seconds to do. I only wish the screen background
