Just had this conversation, and found it interesting. Has anyone been
able to get a working Fink distribution going on a local network? If
not, maybe some of these issues would be more suited for the devel
list, but this seems like the right place to pose the question. SO:

Hi,
To change the font of an X application (such as xterm and many others), I do the following:
First choose a font from the list produced by xlsfonts (you can look at the man page), such as

Has anyone on the list been successful at getting the new version of Nessus to run..?
Nessus installs with no problem, but all the NES files appear to be missing. Any work

0.9.9-3 seems OK. I tried starting it 10 or so times consecutively, with

I want to be able to use Verdana when I'm using Galeon, or Mozilla.
Anyhelp would be greatly appreciated.

I just rebuilt libungif on my system, and I didn't get any messages
about rle.h , and nothing about trying to build gif2rle. I also built
giflib just now, with no problems; also with no mention of gif2rle.
I assume that when you say you are building the files "from scratch", you

OK. Here we go. Normally I would only send this to the maintainer, but
in this case that's Christoph. And yes, it would be great if it was
fixed,
because this breaks eterm and much of gnome. Now the rle stuff, which
is missing, is in netpbm, but it does not seem to get installed.

Hi,
mozilla-0.9.9-3 is out. I think this 'illegal instruction' at lanch time is solved.
Please try it and let me know result. if it works fine, I move it to stable.

Hi there,
I've just subscribed to the Fink list - I haven't installed Fink
yet, but before I do, does anyone know if it will help me with a UNIX mail
server called Courier-MTA?
Many thanks for any help.
Bye for now, Terry Allen
