I am running an Intel Mac Pro with Mac OS Yosemite 10.10.5 and XCode 7.2.1.
The build of the package octave-atlas-qtmac 3.8.2-9 fails for me with the

In the unstable series, one is now at 3.9.52.
I didn't want to put the unstable series into fink, but now that

We're probably due for a newer upstream version of ATLAS, anyway,
since it's more likely to support newer hardware (and Lion).

Yes its an Atlas problem. I set for a single processor but the results are the
same as far as I can see.

You're using a "parallel make" with 8 threads at the same time. Could you try
again with just one compilation thread or job? The missing directories or files
might be missing because some of the compile threads was or were too slow
Is it just me or is there still a problem with Octave in the Atlas variant?

Ah, but that shows the _latest_ version, not what is currently installed
on the system. One way to get that is:
dpkg -p plplot | grep Version

Thank you for your reply. It made me think. fink info plplot said
version was 5.8.0-1015. What I did was to force the removal of octave-
atlas and then install plplot which of course also reinstalled
octave. Doing things this way round seems to have worked. Perhaps you
may

I seem to have a problem with dependencies when installing octave-
atlas. Is it just me? I notice that there is no maintainer for plplot
which may be part of the problem.
Thanks for any help.

My machine is Intel Core 2 Duo running on Mac OS X 10.5.2.
I have uninstall the atlas part. But I would like to re-install it and
post the debug info on the list if you could show me what kind of info
would be considered useful in solving this problem.

Hi,
I found out there are some problems with octave-atlas 3.0.0-4, which
can be compiled but will crash when using. Specifically, I tried the
following commands:
a = randn(700,700);
b = a'*a; % <=== this line will cause octave crash.
but if I only try a', which is ok.
