I'd like to contribute some new documentation to the project.
Though I'm a programmer by myself, I wanted to do something different. I
recognized that there is a lack of German documentation. So I decided to take
part of the docs team (if you let me do that).

I think a large table of contents makes sense. Even I find it difficult to find
documents sometimes. How should a newcomer know in which area a document is or
that it exists at all.
