We were recently contacted by Tim Hamlett who wants to sell two bred
Fjord mares.
Price is in the $4000 range for each horse. One is due to foal soon and
the other in a month or so.
Please contact Mr. Hamlett for more information about these horses:

Subject: Our old mare Tessa
Jamie,
What a wonderful story about Tessa. It was so nice to wake up this morning
to such a happy post on our Fjord list this Memorial weekend.
Our oldest here at Green Meadow is a 34 year old Morgan gelding.

Hi Kris,
Thank you for posting the video of Clyde sleeping in your lap. That has made
my day. I think I will save the link and watch it if I am having a hard day.
It's peaceful and loving. : )

Hi Teresa - sounds like you are getting a handle on your big beasts. They
will be much happier they have come to you. I have luck with Purina's
Nature's Essentials (Mare Maintenance). It is supposed to be just the

I like to keep the tails untangled but never use a
brush, I hand pick them or gently use a wide-tooth
comb after spraying with Lazer sheen or putting some
other detangler on them starting at the bottom and
working my way up. I try to keep

I use Cowboy detangler, hope that is what it is called. Just squeezing it
down the length of the tail and it requires little to free it up to comb.

Ellen, you are right on re the weight scales and that is what I did as I
never felt the tapes were correct with my Fjords. However, they did measure
my 18 hander correctly. Jean Gayle

Okay, Kate, I didn't want to have to bring this up in a public forum, but I
am forced to point out that your beloved and admittedly beautiful grey gelding
Joe shares a significant bough on the family tree with my darling bucket
head. Don't deny

Galiana turned two this week :) I can't believe she is getting so mature - she
is quite the little lady now. She is even starting to look like a horse now.
I of course had to take some birthday pictures of her at:
