Hello,
Has anyone used Unity 3D?
Does anyone know if it can port to Flash?
I just received a copy and was curious.
Thanks,

Thanks Kerry,
The FB3 plug-in worked well for me, so that's the route I prefer.
I keep looking at versions of Eclipse and wonder if Java EE at 190MB
might clog up my PC with things I never use. However, an fdt guy
recommended the same version but I probably won't code with Java

I actually went to a unity meetup and demo the other week to check it out. Very
impressive, the quality is excellent and you can deliver across many platforms
easily (browser, desktop app, wii, iPhone). The problem with the browser is
less than 1% have the plugin installed compared to 98% for
from the website:
Unity supports three scripting languages: JavaScript, C#, and a dialect of
Python called Boo.
I'm sure more than 1% has it installed by now, I've seen more unity content
than silverlight content and unity is a bit older and I've read silverlight
is at about 60% in some countries,
A lot of outrage hass been expressed, but there has to be a why. Why?
Because it makes economic sense for Apple, and it hurts a company that
Steve Jobs doesn't care for right now.
If you don't allow cross-platform tools to work, developers have to
explicitly choose your platform. Right now,
I 100% agree. If the content looks really appealing and comes with a
recommendation then I think people will be happy to install it. But it is
something to bare in mind when discussing options with a client.

Hi
I have the same exact question as moveup.
I am trying to achieve an effect similar to the 3D User switching effect in
OSX.
Would implementing Papervision 3D be overkill for something like this?
Or is there an 'open source' solution available somewhere that uses matrix
transformations, etc.
OK, that sort of makes sense - the sort of because cross-platform compiled
apps can already be accepted or rejected at the app store level. If money from
developers was a major cash flow avenue, this would make total sense but
compared to the app store, it's not, AFAIK. It seems it would be a
