the most part. For one thing, as a cw only operator I am not fond of
the loud mechanical T/R relay used in the 5K. After a lot of searching I

My neighbor had a bad computer supply that wiped out 40 and 20m Took me
over a year to figure it out. When I got him to shut it off all was better.
He replaced the supply at his own expense and appologized for causing me the
noise problem. It pays to talk to your neighbors.

Might also want to check into a Power
conditioner or UPS for the computer. I'm not quite sure, but many of
those have a higher degree of power line filtering and could keep conducted
emissions from your computer from getting back into the radio.

There have been no updates to the SDR-1000 since before it went out of
production, so you probably have the latest hardware.
There is NO firmware in the SDR-1000. Only the FLEX family of SDRs have
firmware

I am trying to get an audiosignal from the PC to my laptop yet.
VAC is installed on both systems, skype too.
Is there someone who knows the settings for:
- VAC
- Skype (Audiocable 1 & 2)
- VNC (if nessesary???)
I am not connecting over the internet, I am using my homenetwork
