run into this before? I did talk to Ed at
Flex Service. He said that the radio meets all factory specs and that this
sometimes happens as solid state devices change.
In all respects, the Flex people have been courteous and professional.

I have Power SDR 2.7.2 Installed on two Windows (7/64 and 8.1/64) quad core
computers. I own one Flex 5000. I've moved the radio from the Win 7/64 to
the Win8.1/64 machine. Is it possible to transfer my profile (database)
from one machine to the other? Answers have been hard to come by.
Selling my Flex 5000 with factory installed 2nd receiver and ATU. Includes
original packaging and FireWire cable, etc. Serial # 0410-2670. Perfect

Per W1AEX's fine article, MIC TX readings hover in the -7 to -10 region but
virtually never go above -2. DITTO the TX EQ meter (really had to back down
on that EQ preamp slider). The TX Leveler readings are generally below

This sounds like a real newbie question that I have responded to many times
myself but curious what the assembled multitude thinks.
What sort of peak power to you guys show on your Flex 5000s running 100
watts into a more or less resonant antenna? My Flex 5000 shows roughly 100

I'd recommend turning it off when using your Flex. You can turn it back on
when you're done.
FYI, hardware here is a Dell 8300, i7 3.7 MHz quad core, 12 GB of RAM all
running Win. 7/64-Pro.

sweating things too much, call Flex Technical
Support. They are both good and professional. The few times I've called,
we've come up with a fix or explanation every time. They explain things
very well and have never talked down to me. Give them a chance.

Somewhere in the past, I recall hearing of PowerSDR features tailored for
operating 60 meters (i.e. pre-programmed memory channels, TX profiles,
etc.). I've searched the owner's manual and the Knowledge Base. Where did
I miss it?

on the MIC meter, I do need to increase drive level to 65 - 75
watts to get slightly under 600 watts our of my ALS-600 amp. In all cases,
the ALC adjust control is at the 2 o'clock position on the amp.

fault of the switch). My legs are too short.. For me, MOX is more
comfortable.

there is too much (i.e. the Christmas tree
is fat or lacks definition). On CW, it also does an OK job but does not
show solid deflection (blocks during key down) like you'd see on a real
scope. Anyway, it's fun to play around with to see what is possible.
