Sorry that I don't have the fix(es) off the top of my head. You have
several things going on, all are windows related (it think).
Start with the 19 clients that VAC has, most or all are ghost entries. I
would delete all of them and start over.

A late to this thread comment. I was a 5K early adopter (nothing else had
been announced). I got my 5K with the second receiver, and the 5K became
very impressive (to me) with the "beam steering" enhancement. I can hammer
an on frequency noise source, very impressive.

Coming from a long ago broadcast radio background, I would use a preamp
with +8 dBm (or more) output if clean. And then use a pad at the radio end
to drop down to 0 dBm for the balanced audio input on the 5K.
And, by all means, try the simple approach first. Keep life simple.

Fldigi in CW mode, and narrow the receiver bandwidth to hear a single clear
