Had similar issues with my 5000A and it turned out to be RF getting where it
shouldn't - mainly into the PC. Lots of re-routing of cables and
installation of ferrite clamps solved it. Can't help physically I'm afraid
as I'm some 3,500 miles away...

It simply needs a PCA9555A chip on the I2C port.

Not sure if this is a result of the 2.4.4 upgrade or not, but the ATU will no
longer tune any of my antennas on 10m. Even an antenna that's naturally 1.5:1
on 28.400 comes up as High SWR. Anyone else seen this before?

You have all you need in the transverter to get levels set correctly.
It's the right way to go, drive your transverter at 0 dbm.
All of my transverters are driven with low power.
Check your DEMI manual, all of the level settings are documented there.

I noticed that when I installed 2.1.2 RC3, PSDR started to lag for 1
second on each operation. After digging down a bit, I found that it
happened when I had CAT control enabled. So, when I wanted to use CAT,
control, I went back to 2.0.22. However, 2.0.22 started to do the same
thing randomly
the FlexWire port.
When HF band data is available I will have a complete interface
accessory that will provide an open collector for each band.

in, software, etc... It's fully functional and I'm running PowerSDR
2.0.8.
I had heard some mixed reviews about the internal ATU, but I got one

Yes, and I tried an earlier version; trunk.
Same results. PowerSDR only on. VAC is set up with two cables and
Configuration is as in the KB article.
The error is PortAudio Error; Invalid Device.

My computer guy built a dual core with 3 Gb of RAM and housed in a black
cabinet about the size of the 5K. It was designed to be a ham/5K dedicated
computer. I've never had a problem with it. Cost around 800 with XP. Any
one interested, I can pass along his phone and email.

was grounded then either. There isn't a ground lug on the Astrons, so I
attached the braid to the neg terminal. Now I'm really confused. No problem
on 75 or 160.

I received several hints for my problem. RF from the PS was one of them.
Just grounded my 30 Amp Astron but the hash is still on my signal. OK at 25
watts. I have a 70 amp supply
