I have tried 'mplayer videofile.mpg' it is working and also to test
the card using ivtv card instructions as
Cat /dev/video0 test.mpg
Mplayer test.mpg and I can able to watch the live tv it is clear
too. Can you tell me why the mplayer has got
Crashed
mplayer from the command line yourself, to
check if TV works at all. Try something like:
$ mplayer tv:// -tv
driver=v4l2:device=/dev/video0:input=0:norm=PAL:freq=155
And see if that works at all?

I used to play mp3 songs too. I have an Hauppauge PVR-350 Card on my pci
slot. I have installed the driver for that card and tested it by playing FM
Radio it is working fine.

using freevo.
Finally am I required to install XMLTV too for watching TV.
