Reminiscent of Palm releasing their Palm Desktop before the year's
end last year eh?
I suspect it will be the last day of September, and I would expect it
to support USB. If not, I guess I will have to invest in a bluetooth
module, or whatever they are.
I too am looking forward to sync all

Can you elaborate on this? I have a Pismo 400 but I understood it

Do you mind if I ask where you got the Toshiba HD and what it cost. Also,
about how long does it take to take out the old hard drive and install a new
one?
Thanks,

Hi listers,
I've just acquired the Pismo,400mgz,320mb ram,6gbHD, OS X 9.1 and would like to play
back the monster , inc dvd. When I double click the dvd icon (os X environment), it
opens a folder with several files in it. I was trying to click on every single file

What version of OS X are you running? You need version 10.1.2 or higher I
believe. If you have that you should only have to insert the DVD, the DVD
control should start automaticly.

Anyone have any feedback on these items/setup?

Hello all,
I just picked up a 2400c at surplus -- another Powerbook discarded as
dead, requiring just a little fiddling to make work. Anyway, I know
that at one point a few G3 cards were available for this model.
It seems like a pretty good form factor, as small as it is, and with

Dear listers,
Thanks for the tips on how to play-back dvd movie on my just-acquired pismo. I'll try
tonight after getting out of the pc world. My other question, I'm going to use the
machine to capture and edit some of analog video tapes, photos (from digital camera)
and store some musics. Do
Anthony,
You definitely want to upgrade OS X to at least 10.1.5 and if you can afford
it upgrade to OS 10.2 (Jaguar) (10.2.1 is a free update) You will have
trouble trying to view a DVD in OS 10.0 (won't work, not supported) If you
are going to use it for video editing, get a larger hard drive,
I'd subscribe to the duo/2400 list for information about that. I'm a
duo owner do can't help you much, but there is a lot of discussion about
the 2400s there. Here's the subscription link:

Thanks to all who gave me good direction. I'm really amazed at how
small the 2400c is. I love my WallStreet, but for certain trips the
2400c might be the ticket. Or, maybe I'll loan it to my coworker, or
resell it. We'll see. I went out on a limb and spent a little too
much for it, $150
I actually have the same configuration as you. I just want to know what
you achieve by upgrading the *processor*.
