This is my monthly reminder that the list server at maclaunch.com remains
screwed up and often sends out spurious confirmation messages. There is
nothing we can do about this at present.
Please don't send me email asking about it. I can't fix it. I can't.

Laurent,
Thanks. When I reinstalled OS 9 I reinstalled over the current installation.
To my knowledge, I didn't reinstall any non-Appleworks extensions. Also,
don't recall installing
any saved preferences.
Given this, what would you suggest?

That preference for the Clean Installation is available after you
click OPTIONS in the lower left-hand corner of the installation window
(I believe it's the second to last window pane before the final INSTALL

Stupid Question #304: What version of Appleworks 6 are you using?
Could that be part of the problem?
I know there was a 6.0.4 and a 6.1 and perhaps a 6.2 and 6.2.4.

Well, Apple will probably tell you that 1GB of ram is an unsupported
configuration and that your ram might be drawing too much power. Have
you tried pulling one of your ram modules and restarting?
Just a thought...

I've never seen the 4 beeps thing (knock on wood). Let me know what

That's funny...the tech said the $50 was definitely in case they had to transfer
