Hi, a friend just got a lombard 333 and I've only been able to get it to
run once. Hitting the power button does nothing. If you press and
release the reset button in the rear then wait the required 5 sec and hit
power still nothing happens. But if you do the reset then pull the main
battery
At least in the Powerbook, unless audio in is vital, Panther is the way to go.
Do you mean that there are problems with using the audio inputs under Panther?
I had never heard of that. I am running Panther on my 1GHz TiBook and
was planning to do some (admittedly basic) audio stuff: digitizing
Hi there, The power inverter on my PB died last year, but I've been using it
fine with an external monitor since then (it was due to be fixed in two
weeks). But now suddenly my external monitor just shows a blank blue screen.
On the laptop screen the normal login menu comes up - i can make it
Sorry folks, i found the prob - the display arrangement! - my office buddy
was playing with the machine last night and must have changed it - she's off
the chrissie list this year. thanks anyway.

PhotoShop still worked fine for me after I did upgrade to 10.3.
I've had a similar problem, but it involved an external monitor. The
solution for me was to write a little program that set the resolution
appropriate to either built-in or external display and to incorporate
it into the startup sequence.
Details on request.

Other World Computing sells a handy little adapter. I've used it with my G4
iBook and my TiBook. Nice design includes cord wrap feature and a velcro
strap to keep it together in travel.

I personally would go with the snow. You are getting a better screen. I have
owned both and the snow just seems faster then a G3 powerbook of the same
speed.

Hi,
Had another question about a Wallstreet I have; it works fine, BUT the
AC/Sound card provides no sound. No startup chimes, no sounds at all.
When I press the volume button on the Crontrol Strip, it goes to the level I
specifiy, BUT the screen's Menu Bar blinks AS IF the mute button is on.

Ok, so I got this cool little Powerbook G3:
Wallstreet PB G3 Series II
300MHz 1MB 66MHz bus
256MB RAM
CD-ROM (no DVD...odd)
etc...
I got it running OS X, but I'm going to replace the hard drive with
something faster. I already added the 256MB in but can't get 512MB to
work. Does anyone know some
About a year ago I came across a patch to solve the problem:
when i sleep my Wallstreet with OS 10.1.5, hard drive keeps spinning every few seconds.
(Works fine when plugged in to AC adapter.)
Now I can't find the patch. Have tried google search, as well as others on MAc
publication web sites.
