I've been asked if I would replace the hinges on a 15 TiBook 800
MHz. From what I can see, Apple didn't ever intend the parts to be
disassembled that you have to take apart to do this, and it's a tricky job.
So I'd like to know whether anyone here has done this, successfully

Thanks to everyone who wrote with info and suggestions. Near as I can tell,
due to her being on a cable modem connection, after she updated by CD to
10.3.4, the Mac downloaded and installed the 10.3.8 update before my mom
really knew what was happening. That or the other update seem to have

getting her desktop: all she can get is a generic screen with a Dock at the
bottom. She can only open the apps that are in the Dock; if she opens one
she can get the apple at the upper left and things that are under there;
I was given an Epson 850N, and have tried hooking it up to a Pismo with no
success so far. I have downloaded what looks like all the relevant software
and installed it, but the printer is not seen. Is there an easy/inexpensive
way to make this work?

I have an account with paypal, which I used to use all the
time...then for a while I didn't need it. Something must have changed with
your site because now it won't load all the way, with the same settings on
my same computer. I mean I get the header

There also seems to be new static in the right speaker.
Currently we are running the Pismo successfully with one of the 256 RAM
chips in the top slot.

I have a friend whose Wallstreet was connected to the phone lines during a
storm last year, whereupon the internal modem quit working. He's used an

I am having a weird problem with Remote Access on my Pismo 400 running
9.1. I can't open the Remote Access control panel because it says Open Tpt
Remote Access extension could not be found in my extensions folder.
I do have the mentioned extension installed and turned on, and I
somewhere on the web. I haven't tried Powerpoint, but I do like
UPresent.

You might want to look into non-Epson cartridges, which cost far less. You
can see many listings at dealmac's inkfinder page. I am using off-brand
carts successfully on my 740.
