I, too, had to re-think the game while walking back to the car (in response to
Mary and others on the subject). Everyone around me was disappointed with the
play of the offense, particularly the O-line. It was my husband, a Gator by
marriage (graduated from Arizona), who pointed out the obvio
BTW, did anyone else notice that the Miami cheerleaders' signs in the
3rd Quarter said "Beat the Noles?" We pointed it out to everyone
around us. The 2 or 3 Miami fans near us just shrugged.
Then again, before the game there were two young women walking
around the stadium with a sign that sai
I think that is the total Growl budget - cost to use the
stadium/field, fireworks, stages, sound system, laser lighting,
printing programs, etc.

They may be old, but still sound incredible. My wife and I saw them at

Surely they're not able to command that kind of fee for one performance.

It was really hot & humid. They announced the temperature at the
start of the game. I think it was 86 degrees - at 8 PM. I have never
drank 4 bottles of water at a game before, even at a mid-day game. I
also had 2 bottles of water pre-game.

Good Grief! They are old. Next they will be having the Lettermen or the

Moore can do it if he gets some touchesfor some reason, Mullen (or
Meyer?) gets too impatient with a regular running back attack. We are
winning at the end.as long as we keep doing that, I am still OK., but
the offensive play calling can improve A LOT!!!

Yeah, I pretty much agree with Scott. Our defense did everything you could
have asked against some really talented kids. No touchdowns, one field goal and
under 150 yards of offense given up. What's not to like? Hawaii scored more
points against us than the Canes.
I think our offense was out o

Sitting in the stands, it was tough to gauge the game. Was our offense out
of sync? Was the play-calling not adjusted to what scUM was giving us?
Were we just lethargic? Is scUM's defensive front that good? Is our
offensive line that bad (I'm resisting naming names, here :-))? Prob

I disagree with the assessment that there was very little energy in the
stadium. I thought there was a LOT of energy in the stadium at the beginning
of the game. Yes, some of the electricity was lost during that long
scoreless stretch, but the crowd got very loud during many crucial defensive

Another thing we need to remember is that our opponents would LOVE to beat
us perhaps more than most other teams. As a result, teams will play beyond
themselves when they play the Gators. We saw this with Hawaii and now
Miami. I have no illusions that Tennessee will not be the same. The Gators
