Maybe a stupid question but you did link an appropriate timezone to localtime
when you installed? Something like:
ln -sf /usr/share/zoneinfo/UTC /etc/localtime
We're warned of "major clock drift" if this step is missed.

Portage-2.0.47-r4 is out for testing. It's masked in package.mask as

Read the NVidia docs, they should tell you how to turn it on. IIRC you
need to tweak XF86Config.
Turning these on by default is *not goodt*,

Ok I generated this list by doing an emerge -ep --deep world and removing all

Yea,
What you probably need to do is "source /etc/profile" .. gcc is not
installed like /usr/bin and you probably just need to reload the
environment.

Stripping "[gentoo-user]" from the topic will screw up any messages that
you reply to, since the "threads" are assembled by grouping like topics
together as far as I know. So it may be nicer to look at in your mail

Hi folks,
when starting up 'nautilus', it suddenly crashes. When trying to start it
after being logged in into the Gnome environment, it just throws a
segfault, tries to restart itself, throws a segfault...
I already reemerged nautilus, gnome, gnome-vfs... which didn't change
anything at all.

I recently switched from Gnome to Fluxbox and I'm loving it. However,
I'm still painfully addicted to evolution, gnome-terminal and galeon, so
I find myself running these in Fluxbox. The problem is, whenever I

Hi,
I need some modules that are not on the liveCD. I was thinking of placing
them on a floppy and load them after booting off the CD..
What's the proper way to do this? Which kernel should I use to make the
modules? I tried with gentoo-sources but got an error when loading them
lag starts to get irritating.
So is there a way to tell Sylpheed to trash these mails or will it be easier to filter
on the individual users?
TIA

Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
