Tony,
I am guessing that KMail supports the unix .mbox mail folder storage
format (like many good apps) and so it should be as easy as importing that
mbox file into evoltuion...which fi I remember correctly is able to detect
other common mail programs on your linux box and import data and setting

I just did it. I also found two additional problems which should be mentioned
in the docs for a smooth installation.

When you have vcron replaced by vixie-cron, /etc/init.d/vixie-cron still
says "* Starting vcron...". I modified mine to say "* Starting
vixie-cron...".

Ogg works fine though. This happened after alsa-driver re-install (after

Can someone tell me why this is and how to fix it?

No, it doesn't. I meant that you use that to check the results
once .Xmodmap has loaded - it should get loaded by restarting X.

Hello everyone,
just solved the vixie-cron problem by hand.
If anyone wants to know:
/etc/init.d/vcron stop
/etc/init.d/vixie-cron stop
rc-update del vcron
rc-update del vixie-cron
emerge unmerge vcron
emerge unmerge vixie-cron
find / -name *vcron*
(deleted everything listed, e.g. /etc/init.d/vc

I have been playing around with 2.6 kernels and noticed that
2.6.0-test10-mm1 has some fields in the header of top output that I can
not decipher.
The output is something like:
Cpu0 : 3.7% us, 0.3% sy, 0.0% ni, 96.0% id, 0.0% wa, 0.0% hi, 0.0% si
Cpu1 : 3.0% us, 0.7% sy, 0.0% ni, 96.4%
I have rsync-ed some directory trees from my notebook to my new desktop
machine.
The files came accross. I can see them in the terminal window. But I
can't see them in nautilus or mozilla. Nautilus shows them, but all us
undefined type. When you click on any, it dissapears after a second or
two.

Really ? Can you partially modify an MP3 waveform and then
merge all unmodified chunks together with the modified parts,
into a new MP3 file without re-compressing the unmodified chunks ?

I'm searching for a similar tool. Something that is able to display the
