I have a solid piece of hardware named Compaq. It's a rack mounted
machine with an astonishing P-200 processor and 4 SCSI disks.
I tried with several distributions, but all failed. Finally I managed
to install a debian 3.0 on it. It runs a ftp/http server. Everything is

(today) 82 packages that it wants to upgrade/downgrade/whatever.
I wouldn't dare - my system works!
That's the key, IMHO - if you only upgrade an individual package (and
it's dependencies) when you really think it is necessary

qmail-send, and runs SpamAsassin, F-Prot, etc. After that, it hands it
off to qmail-smtpd like usual and everything is taken care of for you. It

One of my servers is mounting '/dev/sda3' as '/dev/root' instead. Pretty
bizzare. Here's the output of `df`:

A wild guess, do you have root = /dev/root in your grub.conf, lilo.conf?

Ok, this one is probably really stupid, but I can't find where I screwed
this up. When I make bzImage, it's telling me that the kernel is too big
to
fit on the floppy. can someone tell me where in the menu I can de-select
this option? I don't want the kernel to fit on a floppy.
