lots of very thin lines, in other words: blueprints. I don't have a good
solution for saving this type of file in JPG. It really depends on why you
want to re-save the file to JPG in the first place.

I would like to glue a logo and some dozen of pictures automatically,
ie. the logo and the picture has the same height and to glue them at
the common edge. How can I do that? Should I use script-fu?

All versions of GIMP are fully compatible with limited users - all
configuration is saved in user's home directory, and GIMP doesn't need to
