put the alias device block entry into /etc/modules.conf?

listed and try to clean up my setup.
I will keep you all posted, and I'm sure probably have a few more
questions along the way. Thanks for all the input so far.

or even better, get feedback on what you understand and I'll try to explain better if
need be.
So here's my situation, I am running a small web/mail server for basically my personal
needs. I recently got a

on a web forum which turned up nothing, sorry about that.
With that hopefully I've given you some more help and now the B's will

The two that I have checked out freevo and mythtv. Myth seemed more
geared towards tv/recording if I recall correctly. I thought freevo did
not have many issues regarding performance unless there was recording
involved, then you would want some beefier hardware.

If the warranty on thedrive isn't that big of an issue, removing the
cover, taking out the platters and beating the living crud out of them
with a hammer might just do the job. ( a BIG hammer!)
The only problem with this is the fact that I need it to be under
warranty, or it kind of
I need. The drive is useless, but I am not sure if the
manufacturer will try to just fix it and refurbish it or simply just toss
it. Anyone have any ideas?

Sounds to me like there's a chance that your apache server is trying to
do a reverse ... This is just a guess
for this account. I am
assuming it is a pam issue, but I know very little about that. Any help would be
appreciated.

I fixed the problem. I found out that we were not using shadow passwords, ran pwconv,
and magically it works ok. I don't why this occured adding a user and changing the
password when they weren't shadowed.
