I am hoping to get anyone who is using the Leica PRIME instruments
to post any issues they have been seeing. We have just acquired two PRIMES
and are having priming, scanning and suction cup issues. Has anyone seen
these same issues or any other issues??

Though the red can bleed if left in alcohol, it is more stable than other

We've been using Permount in our Leica cover slipper, but we have noticed
that after a while, the Permount seems to get too thick and the machine
doesn't dispense enough on the slides even after cleaning out the nozzle.
Previously I just switched out the old Permount (saving it for

small volume lab with limited stain needs. I think if you are looking for a
variety of staining protocols you should ask what the estimated time is if they

Our lab is considering purchasing a new tissue processor. We have an IMS
LX-120 benchtop processor and would like another benchtop model, if
possible. I'd appreciate any comments you may have regarding the Leica
TP1020 processor.

I am looking for a flex shaft cable for our Leica microtome 2135. I have been
told by Leica they no longer service or carry parts for this machine any
longer. Ours is in excellent condition and a new one is not in our budget. Is
there a Leica “junkyard”?
