Out of honest curiosity, why did HL2DM not ever get a spectator mode?

An update to Half-Life 2: Deathmatch
Wow, thanks for the heads up that this was being released... So far I've
found that health kits and suit chargers on the ground don't pickup, they
play the sound, but don't register. The chargers on the walls work. Of
course it broke Manimod. Sigh, just thought I'd throw this out there, any
...and whats with the HUGE lettering when you point crosshairs at the
enemy? They virtually obscure your vision. Like Darrel said, thanks for
warning us about the server update...not!

Metamod Source also no longer works, and any Eventscripts that access the
player health property crash the server.

Most of my maps I find by server surfing, there are very few reliable
sources for maps anymore unfortunately... I will check it out when you go

Will this eventually be expanded into HL2DM?

At this pricise moment in time no, but it will be somthing we add later.
IF you know the bets places to get these resources, we can look at it
next,
as after CS:S is done, we are looking at
How many maps for HL2DM do you have? I have well over 1K, though most of
them are not something I'd run, how often would the content be updated? I
like to run the latest maps.
Thanks
I will be making the option to select which content u wish to use when you

Infact, i will upload it
Without sounding like a groupie, thanks for an awesome plug-in Bro...
Seriously.
I just wanted to say thanks to Kyle for the nice comment about my plugin
for the source engine :)

Sh! Lol, seems to have fixed the HLSW issue for me as well...
Good news.

Very well said.
Alfred, the March 8th update somehow changed the log pulling parameters, and
now HLSW cannot pull logs. One of the guys on the HLSW site has said that
his emails to Valve have gone unanswered, is there a way for them to get in
touch with you (anyone really) at all? (Besides
I will pass this address on to them. I think part of the problem is that if
you haven't updated your server, then HLSW isn't broke for you. So there's
really only a few of us that are complaining, and if there were any other
alternative I would have thanked HLSW for the time it served me and
Well, I went to do just that and found the forum down... :-( But I think
that more people posting to the (stickied) thread in the problems section
would let them know that it isn't just 5-6 people having the issue. (BTW, I
post as Larred in the HLSW forums.)

Alfred,
Is there any work being done regarding the update that broke log pulling
from 3rd party mods? I can't seem to get a straight answer from the HLSW
team, and as I've said, it hamstrings my ability to admin my server
remotely.
Thanks.
PS... I don't care who fixes it on what end, I just
Ok, thanks. Do you know of any other ways to remotely monitor chat in DM?
Hi..
No - it's a command line tool that was primarily designed to be used in
.bat
and script files, to help automate rcon functions as part of scheduled
maintenance etc. Adam was looking for a way to ensure the log
Does this work with HL2DM and allow you to see the chat from Windows? I'm
trying to find an alternative to HLSW, it's log pulling capability was
broken in the last update and I feel blind without it...
Ah... I just kinda snuck it in there a while back. Been keeping my head
down lately,
Mick hit the nail on the head there, when did you update last Kyle? For the
record, I'm running manimod and steambans, I disabled both in the server.cfg
file and there was no change.
Thats really helpful Kyle : (
How about what mod you are using, what build of scrds, what plugins etc
and
Probably you should hold off on updating then, at least until this is worked
out (unless you don't use HLSW). It had been some time before my last
update as well...
I havent updated since the last required update and everything works
fine still.

My apologies if this has been brought up, I just rejoined the list to
address this problem. Monday's (near as I can tell) server update killed
the ability to pull server logs with HLSW on HL2DM. (www.hlsw.org) This
is the ONLY program I've found that I can remotely admin my HL2DM server
with.
rofl. Just ... rofl.
