Yeah, I think some of us here have come to the conclusion that this
whole thing might a tad bit of an overreaction. I don't think we need to
grind that back and forth any longer. And I agree with 100% with Patrick

You can't play any steam network games when the steam network is down.
Not for long, anyways.

I think he meant one of the player classes in TF2. I haven't scripted in
years but I'd imagine SourceMod would have a way of simply displaying
the player class. And spectator is sadly not a real class in TF2,
although it does sound pretty cool. 8)

There was a discussion on this a while back I skimmed through, I think
they said that Source engine games will send the information as to what
server the client was trying to connect to through the HTTP referral

It's not really any different than running TF2 in an idling server and
minimizing the window, I wouldn't say it's very honest but I wouldn't
really classify it as a cheat.

You mean it SHOULD be fixed then? It's actually annoying, I will be

I was looking forward to the update, but after playing it for only a

It seems rushed. The sandvich might have been a good idea but the way
it's done makes no sense. Like it just instantly heals you at the start,

Heh, might want to wait for release date, I'm sure valve is just in a

That's not what it does, someone posted that earlier. It's just a
command that you would enter normally during a game, not a variable.

I'm pretty sure that's intentional. I don't think they want people to
face having to deal with friendly fire when shooting through walls and such.

That's a stupid idea. Hey, I'm vac banned on the HL1 engine, therefore I

Who knows. But please fix this, I'm tired of playing on gimped servers
that totally fuck up the experience of the game.

If you want to fight zombies who deal 20 dmg in one hit, you should play
campaign. The point of Versus mode is that you're playing against other
players, not the computer controlled infected.
And if you want players to play at the difficulty THEY want, you
probably wouldn't have changed the conf
Yeah, I'm sure it's a bug. Sucks though. I was playing in a team with my

Almost everything in L4D is frustrating. It's just the way Valve wanted
their game I guess. Still bothers me though. What happened to games being
balanced and fair for ALL players? I noticed it started with Team
Fortress 2 critical hits and now Valve seems to have adopted a bunch of
game design
Some people just use tape on their screens anyways, I don't think it

The cvar has nothing to do with anything. If you have a plugin that
instantly respawns players on death, then your server is vulnerable to
this exploit. Otherwise you're fine.
If you have mp_disable_respawn_times set to 1, then you still have to
wait for the freezecam, and then wait a few more s
