Just popped on task manager to see srcds is using a TON of memory. This

My 30 TF2 servers use around the 400Mb of RAM mark. They run SM and MM.
Using custom maps or poorly coded plugins ( This especially) will boost the

Hi,
I'm using both SM and MM too. The plugins on there are tried and tested.
I'll have a search through them to see if there's any ancient ones though.
All the maps are standard TF2 ones. Two of the servers are 24/7 servers
and reset map after 5 hours.

Do you have srctv enabled?

Not on any of those no.
I restartedone of the empty ones and it seems to be working its way back
up to the high memory usage.

I run 4 TF2 servers. For me it seems that ~1,3 Gigs per server is
something that they go to and stay there. If i do a fresh boot to
server, it slowly eats first 350 megs, then climbs up in 2 days to over
1 gig but on the third day, it stops to that 1,3 or so. Doesn't matter

Hi Mike,
I'm not using eventscripts no. The one I restarted earlier is now sat
calmly at around 400mb which is fine. The other two have climbed a bit
since. Both over 1gb. I'm gonna try a restart as soon as I can find a
convenient time to not kick people out.
I have had the same plugins for
I run 9 TF2 servers on Server 2008 R2 and all of them climb to (and perhaps
continue climbing) to around 1.2GB. We have replay and sourcetv disabled.
The usual thursday updates gives us a chance to restart our instances and
get the memory back.
We've personally ruled out all of our SM plugins.

I updated my test TF2 server (Win32 - XP Pro) with the latest TF2 update
and
found a test scenario that appears to show the memory leak.
In only 6 hours the memory usage has significantly increased from
startup -
live
Since I restarted the server after last update I've already dropped from
1547MB memory free to 935MB. It hasn't even been a day yet and the three
srcds processes have already leaked 600MB.

I'm seeing this problem on my linux servers as well. 6am reboots ftw.
Also, the linux srcds performance is still getting
in
use...
Happends sinds the last update round.
Cheers,

I never see any of my servers use more than 400MB but after running full for
many hours, usually a few days, they just crash randomly on mapchange
I don't know if this has to do with any of the mods and plugins I'm
running but it's very frustrating...
