You may be using too much rotary oil. Is that because your valves are

opinion, it is probably worthwhile to spend 20 minutes or so once a week to oil
and grease your horn. Do it while

There are only two bearings on rotor valves. The rotor surfaces do not
touch the sides of the valve casing, so it in not necessary to oil inside
the valve. Adding oil inside the valve only creates a mess that must be
cleaned out or diluted by adding more and more oil. Start by removing the

I have been able to eliminate the slide grease-valve
oil mixing and contamination problem by now using only
valve oil on the valves AND on the valve slides. I no
longer use grease on the valve slides. The slides
don't slide as nice with just valve oil, but I can
remove the slides reasonably well,
