As yet another suggestion, if you have CICS Transaction Server Version 4.2

This SupportPac includes both sending (SMTP) and receiving (IMAP and POP3)

able to undo any change back to the point of the last ACCEPT.

Dear Listers,
I am attempting to recover or get back to the proper version of a couple
LPALIB modules. In this case some sysprog decided to copy altered versions
of a couple of load modules into SYS1.LPALIB. I have not been able to find
a backup of the modules. So, I am left with what is in SMP

HI Janet,
I noticed that the bind is binding DALLASA.DB2ZP.ZPDB2
but the error is for DB2ZP.ZPDB2.1A320A2A009C519E.
It looks like a mis-match between local and remote versions of the package.

XMITIP, by default, uses the JES2/JES3 spool for SMTP/CSSMTP.
There is an option to use the UDSMTP program from Mike Porter, that is included
with the XMITIP package in a tar file, which will interface directly with the
SMTP server and thus you can get immediate feedback.
Hope this helps

Does anyone have a *working* copy of this utility? And its JCL?
The copy I downloaded from the CBT website (CBT493.FILE542) is producing errors
and even when I got around that, it was formatting the define alias statements
out of order.
Thanks in advance,

Keep in mind that even if the recommended convention is in place, PGM=IEBGENER
with alias to the sort product will not necessarily run the sort product for
copy. In my case, ICEGENER will decide, based on input and output file
characteristics, whether to do the copy himself or defer to tradition

Hilary,
If you are just getting started with SMTP on the mainframe, you might want
to consider the "newer" mail server called CSSMTP. It definitely has some
additional functionality and it may also address some security concerns.
Also, SMTP won't be supported beyond z/OS V2.2, so depen
