Pera is blue dun ,silver dapple pinto and her son is "just" black with a star
Pera´s Father Lokkur (now in Austria I think) is yellow dun silver dapple.
adn Pera´s mother Duna is silver dapple black pinto.

There are a FEW issues with color that I DO think are important - the link to
ASD with silver dapples, the fatal "lethal white" combination, etc. That's part
of responsible breeding.
That thank good don´t exist in the Icelandic breed!!
But also something to consider regards to color and bree

I had this experience last week when I went down to Reykjavik to ride with a
friend and it turned out that the horse I was gonna ride was in a thin
condition (brown gelding) and I pointed that out that "this horse shouldn´t get
any thiner to just be able to build more mucles and so on...

no all icelandic´s don´t don´t do soft gait´s but almost all 99% do canter
and almost all can trot thou that theese that are 5+ gaited have a 4 beaten
trot or have a hard time to do it under rider but often at freedom they do a
fine trot and canter.

my pasture is somewhat over 800 acers so is not boring,but we have not either

ok my stallion Hamar born in beginning of june 2003 was started january 2007
and was in training untill may when He was evaluated just for conformation as
he´s riding abilities was not ready ,natural tolter not trotting much...
He was Mentally ok and well muscled ,big 141 cm on whiters

Usually yes they are started at the 5 yo old winter when you are not in a hurry
and it´s common that you take your 4 yo in one monht or two
and as they are very unhandled it take´s them 2 -3 week just to get longed and
somewhat used to humans. But when you want to evaluat them
