What's the best door to use in access the icn room at Spencer. I'll be parking
on the south side since the Maverick Relays are today.

The easiest is the northwest door, but if you are on the other side, you will
need to go straight west once you enter the building, it is in that hallway,
but almost all the way at the other end of the building. If you want, just
give me a call once you get here. 712-240-9086.

I'll be the one in red, I was concern with it clashing with all that purple.
Thanks,

I need help from anyone that can help me. We recently bought a mobile lab cart

Is there wireless software on them, like Belkin (?), or something that is
taking control of the
wireless instead of the Windows administration of the wireless? We ran into
that here. All I did
was either remove or disable that software, and then Windows took over control

I agree with Sarah, make sure it is using windows wireless, third party drivers

Are these N-draft cards? If so, we had an issue with those dealing with
fragmentation/RTS thresholds. We had some old b cards that did not like large
Frag/RTS thresholds so we had them set low. The N-Draft cards do not like them
that low and exhibit behavior similar to what you are describing.
I might add that Aaron Bennis said Akeny was having a similar issue with
different APs and had to apply a patch to fix it.

Do they have SP1 on them? I would assume so since they are newer, but thought
I would ask. There were several wireless issues resolved in SP1.

Ok. I applied that patch and still hasn't done anything. When I did that
patch though, VISTA would give me an error that it didn't install correctly.
Also how do you do any of that frag. settings?

I agree also with the problem with third party wireless management. It
seems as though it waits until a user is logged on using cached
credentials to enable the wireless connection. With Windows managing the
connection, it seems like the connection is active immediately when the
laptop is fired
Anyone out there using Sophos Antivirus. I want to move it to a new

We haven't had a lot of issues with wireless, but we did have some
issues with Vista and printers. We found that some of our printers had
to be set up as a local printer on the computer or laptop and then we

One thing that I always had some issues with on Vista with printers was
when we turned off UAC. Some printers did not seem to install when UAC
was off. If you turned it back on, and went through its UAC process,
they would work fine. We only have about 4 Vista machines here, and

We don't let our people know, as they would expect us to be around
fixing it before their e-mail arrived.
See you at the ICN, well I won't, but I will be there with you.
