I am using build 2008-0416-r982 and have run into a problem. I place my components and ran FreeROUTE. It did quite well with only one trace unrouted. I manually routed the remaining trace and saved. Unfortunately I now see two problems. First, when I start Gerbview and load the edges layer, the

I created a simple pcb (with pic microcontroller IC) and I selected a 3D view mode. Another window was opened, but it was blank. Why is that? Does that mean that there is no 3D view model of that IC in the library or am i missing something. I am using ubuntu 7.10 and kicad 2007. Regards Klemen

Perhaps you have something located at a large offset in the second file you loaded. If this were the case, a zoom to full screen on the second layer would require a zoom out. This could also explain the GC-Preview error. David > -Original Message- > From: Doug [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] >

Any ideas on what to look for either in Gerbview, PCBNEW, or in the file itself? I check all files and found: component layer has the offset copper layer has the offset component layer silk has the offset copper layer silk is ok (there are no components on the layer) edges layer is ok Regards,

Dick, Thanks for the feedback. Auto zoom confirms that the problem is in the board design, not caused by the gerber output. After I auto zoom, the pcb shrink to a few pixels and a cursor shows up about a third of the screen away from the upper right. The zoom level and coordinates shown on the

Dick, Thanks for your latest comments. I noticed two things that allowed me to narrow the problem down. First, I ripped up all traces, but the gerbers and pcb still had the problem. Second, I noticed that an 8-pin connector did not seem to be anchored on pin 1 as expected. When I went into the
