material should I use and If replacing it, is there a proprietary mount that
suits the Suby / KR2 (narrow mounts) combination .

I have what I believe to be Deihl legs on my KR2 and two months ago had a
landing mishap which appears to have been caused by the two lower bolts of
the four ΒΌ bolts that attach the axle stub to the undercarriage leg having
their nuts stripped off and the top two bending severely. (This was the
will move one to the other causing
wear to the bolt holes and the bolts .
I am thinking of applying Loctite "wick in" to the WAF blades after assembly
to increase the friction and so improve my safety margins

Today I purchased new bolts 1/8 inch longer, and yes, I will need an extra
washer or two, but the bolt is a MUCH neater fit in the hole than the old
one . gunna do a trial refit of the wing tomorrow wish me luck!

.. I would recommend that every KR owner should loosen
the WAFs annually and check / measure any wing tip movement. This will
indicate the presence of wear and enable the owner to monitor its progress.
Your thoughts and comments would be appreciated ...

By the way, from that, if you know your stall speed, you can guess your
touchdown speed in a three pointer ... its stall speed x sqr root(stall
speed coefficient of lift / touch down Coefficient of lift) ..

facts seem to indicate that I am likely to need a fair bit of right rudder
work on my first flight in a few weeks time and I wondered if it was easy to
measure and perhaps adjust the offset a little?

I squeegee thru the peel ply but make sure that the area outside is
well masked off as the otherwise you will end up with a lot of sanding to
do! I used two widths of 50mm duct tape for this

Hi Craig
I just made a new panel for one I am refurbishing. I used 6mm birch 7 ply.

and looks gorgeous after a Baltic Pine tinted varnish finish .
Oh and I nearly forgot to say that the new wood panel with
