I am at that stage of high speed taxi testing. I thought I had my brakes
corrected from the insufficient performance during my first taxis. I went as
far as buying new Matco cylinders and installing those. Went for taxi test
yesterday and the brakes are still out of whack. I have determined the
I hate to say this but WunderBird will not make the gathering this year. She has not made her first flight yet. During taxi testing the brakes were insufficient and I just finished instilling a new system. Also, right now I have to install and remove the wings every time I fly it until I get a ful
67 days to go till the Gathering.

Only 7 planes so far? And that is if I get WonderBird through the test
flight stage before the gathering.

Yesterday I was doing a taxi test and had the following happen more than
once. This scares me enough that I am now very hesitant to use a Lipo with
BMS.
After about five minutes of taxi, my engine shut off as if the ignition
switch had been shut off. There was absolutely no power at the ignition

A few issues popped up that I had to resolve which caused the delay.

Yes I agree with Larry. After sleeping on the comments I made concerning my
door lifting up, the pins were still inside the canopy frame. They actually
slid up the frame and that is what kept it from opening any farther.
Possibly just enough pressure on the pins and frame to stop it. Yes, I was

Also, I forgot to mention that I got the Trymer 2000xp for FREE. I found a
manufacturer that uses it in their products. They usually have a cut off pile
of scrap Trymer and just might give it to you.
I was able to get pieces that were about a foot thick which made excellent wing
tips.

I too had this style trim tab on my aileron. The way I mounted mine was with 3M
double sided tape and I put over 500 hours flight time on it and it never
loosened up. Mounting it this way is just another way to reduce a little drag.

Another set back !!!
I have been doing a lot of body work and was almost done until I got down on
the floor and spotted this on my fuselage bottom which I thought was a finished
bottom ready for paint.
When I began my filling and sanding on the bottom I chose to use a marine

Thanks for the kind words. The seat backs actually raise up allowing access
to storage. They are hinged on the top of thew seat back. BTW i just found

I have a balanced elevator. And will balance ailerons. Just wondering if the
rudder really needs balancing. Trying to save weight. So far this build is 64

Yes. Unfortunately there was no cushion on my seat when I test fitted for
headroom so that won’t resolve my dilemma nor will reclining the seat back more
as David suggested. It is already too far back for what I really prefer but all
of this is worth keeping the deck heights as low as possible f
