I have considered the use of 'ipkg', which is a tiny port of
Debian's 'dpkg' application. I've compiled it and it weighs
in stripped at 85k depending on 'wget'. Still too large for
use on a floppy. :(

starting getting tricky compatibility and core system wise once you get beyond
Shorewall and the interfaces.

I'll agree that it is redundant as well and likely easier to maintain w/o
