I've got Dachstein RC5 running and trying to put the final touches on it.
I've got a Counter-Strike server spitting into to another server inmy DMZ.
I've tried to open this port to allow the info to pass thru into the DMZ but
for some reason I just can't figure this one out.
I've tried opening

Well, I've been off the lists for several months now. I would probably
still be in the shadows but if it wasn't for upgrading to ICQ 2001b. So, as
luck would have it, I began visiting the old sites and found some new (and
potentially exciting) changes.
I have a slightly older version of Charles

Heya. Easiest thing to do is grab the echowalll.lrp
package and setup your IPSEC_HOST as per the instructions in
the README.
To answer your questions...yes, Dachstein (and the others)
can "masq" and "forward" an IPSec connection much like any other
sorta connection *provided*
Thanks for the prompt reply,
As it tuns out I had written in the DNS1 and DNS2 variables in
network.conf but forgot to un-comment them so my resolve.conf looked
like this. I have no idea how I was getting any dns service at all
unless it was the search pacbell.net in my internal machine. Any

I dunno if this is whats affecting you - but if you are running Seawall you
may have to specify dnslocalports="1024:" instead of the default "1025:" -
as I was not getting any resolution at the router (all the machines behind
the firewall simply had 192.168.1.254 specified as their DNS server
Hi all,
I just upgraded to Dachstien CD rc5 from rc4. I have crontab
scheduled to email me my logs which it has been doing faithfully
until today. Somehow the name lookup fails from the router. DNS is
working fine form inside the lan. I turned off dnscach to see if this
was the problem but no

Or, create a proxy server by the same name on your home LAN :-) (Makes
life real easy to go back and forth between the office and home).

hi
i noticed that FAIRQ/QoS rules do only apply to these interfaces which are
listed in $IF_AUTO. Since my externel interface (eth0) is dynamic (DHCP),
QoS rules are not applied.
is there a workaround for this?
general QoS question:
does anyone have a working example? Jack's howto is very nice
Hey all,
Just as a follow up - here is the command to disable the automatic proxy
setting configuration that continually turns the proxy on after it has been
disabled. You'll know if this is the case if you shut down all IE windows
after disabling it and when you open IE again your proxy se
