After install there was a file minirc.df0 which I copied to minirc.dfl and
that didn't make any difference. I get the same output if I run minicom
-s. The output is:
Minicom WARNING: configuration file not found, using defaults
No termcap entry for linux.

box through the serial console. I need to do just the opposite. I need
to connect to a switch through the serial port on my leaf box. Please see
my other additional comments which I added later.

I tried installing the libtcap.lrp package but it didn't make any difference.
