Hi, My leaf box is basically a little celeron on an intel mobo with a cdrom and floppy. It has 1 serial port which I need to use to connect through an EIA 232 serial cable to configure my switch vlan. /var/log/messages shows on boot: firewall kernel: ttyS00 at 0x03f8 (irq = 4) is a 16550A firewall kernel: ttyS01 at 0x02f8 (irq = 3) is a 16550A
I'm using bering rc4. So far, my attempts at using getty haven't resulted in a connection to the switch through either of these ports noted above. Can someone suggest some settings or a command line I should try in light of my configuration. The switch requires 9600,8,n,1 settings, typical switch management.
