Thanks, I will check.but I mostly work through HTML output. How can that
be done there? You know? If I understand correctly from your answer it is
not something you would edit in the marriage record (like other wording you
can change), but that is is report bound?
Thanks for helping, much
Rob,
It can be universally changed if you use InternetCreate Web Pages - see under
the wording tab.

I have my citation files (the ones that are attached to individual
citations via the Photo button) in a hierarchical directory structure.
For instance...

I do this because
This may be/have been complicated by my keeping my image files on a thumbdrive.
But it's still something I'd like to do.

Jennifer,
Congrats on all the work which you have put in on this. I have now had a chance
to study effects in my own files, so firstly let us agree on one thing - that
there is not a problem with the old style sources (please exclude Child-Par Rel
from this for the moment).
From now one I
Rob,
It affects all marriages. One cannot individualise it and, I suspect, would be
impossible to program otherwise.

Continuing to work with the Publishing Center's book feature, I just printed
out Name Index for my major family.
The first time one (1) name was shown at the beginning of the list in the
(No surname) section. It was an aka name and I went to the proper place
and fixed that.
I re-ran and
Tom,
I cannot tell. What were your index settings? Is there any connection between
your sister and Anderson eg AKA, married name, step father etc. etc. even in

I cannot offer an explanation as to why the first and second run were

Anderson was my sister's married name so her entry is correct but just

I don't know how it occurred, but I solved the problem of the unamrried

a look at the Family Group Sheet for these six people. The unmarried people
each had an MRIN showing even theough they were not and never had been
Tom,
Good to see it's getting sorted. It's quite easy to get a ghost marriage eg. if
a child is imcorrectly given to a woman, and then unlinked or deleted to
correct the error, the marriage to an unknown also needs to be deleted.
I am not clear about the two you have left. Do you have the
Ron,
Thanks for your thoughts. I have the other two mysteries solved. One
involved a marrage to an unknown ((that never happened) and the other
involved a previous marriage and children assigned to the wrong husband.
Don't know how that happened,

Occasionally I may not be sure that the children I have listed in Legacy for
a certain couple are the only children that existed. In the descendent

Sorry Donna, but I don't understand at all. If you go to the Source Detail and
enter a date then it will appear as a Source Detail. Perhaps you can spell out
exactly what you mean. I'm probably having a bad hair day - or would be if I
had any!

Tom,
I do not have the knowledge to help solve your mysteries, but if I have any
problem with any record, I find it interesting to see the date when the
individual was added, marriage added and when modified. Might help to see if
the record was imported, or if all problem records were modified
What template are you using for what information? Are you saying the date of
death is in the detail field of the source?

When I created the source I used master source. I filled in the generic

Donna,
Sorry, I'm still confused. Where are you expecting to see the access date? The
access date is always part of the source detail and not part of the master
source. The publish date is part of the master source. I guess I'm also not
understanding what the detail field for the detail means.
Donna,
Why is this a problem - it seems to me to be the correct behaviour? Or are you
saying that you are not putting the accessed date in, and the program is
automatically adding it?

I just thought that the detail date should be a date in the event. It is a
date that I typed in, it doesn't appear on it's own. Oh well, this is not
the first time I was wrong. Sorry.

Wife relationships: Father and mother - Not sourced - correct

Donna,
I agree that the dating of sources is very confusing so, to simplify matters
for myself, I only use two at the very most. I use the Census Date for the date
on which the Census Source was created - purists may argue with this but I
can't ever remember being pure. This I put in the
