That was my thinking. Unfortunately, no error message appears to help
identify the cause.

Hi Ron
It was no trouble, interesting to see how GE and VE compare.
My own postcode is spot-on in both.

Is anyone else having problems with the map not showing up when you
try to map locations? I tried to create a map and all I get is a
blank window.

HI, Ron
Sorry I haven't yet upgraded to v.7 so can't check through Legacy.
A direct search of VE (with comma) finds the road and approx. street
number. I tried my own street - exact for No.1 i.e. at the correct
end; thereafter rough location, which VE admits is not an exact
match..

You are not restricted to "4 positions". AFAIK the limit is 9.
If you want e.g. 1234, Main, Salem, Marion, Oregon, USA use it!
I always put a comma after house number. Then Reverse Sort the Master

I have also puzzled on this matter. It seems there must be a separate
entry in the Location Master List for each pin/balloon I want to have.
Using an extra place in the location for the address does help VE to
find the place, but, once a location is found and a pin/balloon placed

I use the following so I can map 2 locations:
1. Brenham, Washington County, Texas, USA -- Death location
2. Brenham - Priarie Lea Cemetery, Washington County, Texas, USA -
Buriel location
This way, you can use the push-pin for the cemetery location.
Yes, it creates two locations, but
Some have said this works. at least it will be a separate pin - so
you could move it in a close-up map.
Brenham - Priarie Lea Cemetery, Washington County, Texas, USA

I manage my locations with 4 place holders
e.g. Brenham, Washington County, Texas, USA
I also use the addresses such as burial addresses
Now let's say for a persons birth I enter as the location Brenham,
