I am not quite sure I understand, but here goes.
When you amend your Legacy database this is saved on the fly - not backed-up -
as a file such as FileName.fdb. This is the file which you click on to open it
in Legacy and has the Legacy Shield as its icon.
When you close Legacy after

You can delete them but I would leave them in your Recycle bin until you
get more comfortable working with Legacy. In other words, don't empty

You should backup each time. Either use File > Backup Family File
whenever you feel the need to backup, or follow the backup p
