The 1911 Census of England and Wales includes information regarding the
number of children born to the current marriage, how many are still
alive and how many have died. One of my ancestors appears having had 6
children, 3 living and 3 having died.

Great thread, Jenny!
What it brings to mind, though, is an earlier discussion of (for example) US
Census records, images of which can be found online at at least three major

Even though it came through, it sounds like Laura is not receiving

not receiving messages from the list.

Mike, Legacy is written in an older programming language the the
programmers are using what's available.
When the programmers port Legacy over to a new language which will handle

Legacy does give you the option to use an 'Alternate Word Processor'
(Options/Customize/Launch), unfortunately I can't see any difference when
entering notes. I've closed/restarted Legacy, tried different paths, and still
no perceptible difference. Perhaps I'm not doing something right.

Yes - that's for the Report Options button. There are several report
options tab on the main Report window.
Information on the main windows can be found by looking up the specific

I had the same problem. It is because your curser is not at the end of what you
have written. If the curser is now a line or two it will show up in the report
as blank lines. I have to go back and check all my sources and notes for
everyone to make sure the curser was at the end of what w
The Help file doesn't direct you to the Report Options button, but to the

Look in the upper left corner under "Insert Underlines for missing"

Hello all,
I, somehow, have gotten my descendant narrative report messed up. Now I
have blank lines for information that I don't have. In Help it says to go
to options and you can turn blank lines off, and I click on options, but I
still cannot find it. Thank you for any help.

Good point Ron.
After I posted yesterday, I looked at standard sized folding keyboards
and they were not very expensive, $ 5~12 dollars at Amazon. They fold,
roll, and very thin.
To the original post, I would look into a small wireless mouse with a
very small dongle. My dongle is so small I don't

Once again, and for a different reason this time, no part of Legacy contains a
full-fledged word-processor. So, it's all down to pressing the right combination
of shift and letter keys at
