1. Are these files which you have been sent
2. Are they files that you have downloaded and where from
3. Are they files that you have created
Why do you think that they are word documents? Is the file name
Is this my problem or from the source as I have the problem with MyHeritage
and findmypast. At ancestry there is a second stage to do to stop this from
happening. I do not know whether this is my problem or a universal one.

When you create the gedcom down and the bottom you will see a button that says.
“Record Selection.” Click that and then chose Selected records contained in
the focus group. You can Edit the focus group
There was a problem recently with exporting a Focus Group to gedcom (some
of the individuals were missing from the gedcom). I'm not aware this has
been fixed.
An alternative method, is to Tag everyon in the Focus Group, then export

I click on
FileImport fromGedcom.
It goes to the folder I have my .gedcoms in and I click on the file I want
filename.ged
