was NOT striped and the filesystem was not yet
resized so the last volume was totally unused. If the filesystem had been
resized, an additional step to shrink the filesystem would have had to be
done.
Thanks to all who replied...

to determine that this address is in routine shm_open. This appears to
have to do with the Shared Memory Filesystem.
Has anyone seen this? Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Gordon,
Thanks for the response; the procedure reads:
mount /usr -o ro,remount
Sync;sync
shutdown
Can you explain the command Sync;sync. I don't
./install.sh (or whatever it's called)
The DB2 install window should appear in you Cygwin window.
Thanks,
Hank Calzaretta

How are they determining whether they are getting compression or not? Are
they running the IXFP Space Utilization utility? I have 9 Linux volumes (VM
minidisks) on an RVA X83 and the IXFP report shows a compression ratio for
these volumes to be between 3.5 and 5.4 to 1.

I'm trying to create some performance reports using VM Performance Reporting
Facility for zVM (4.2.0). I'm looking for the whereabouts of the MONWSTOP
utility module. Does anyone know whose/which minidisk this guy resides on?
Thanks,

Michael,
There is an IBM Web-based service called Passport/Advantage which you should
have access to if you have a site license for DB2. You can download
versions for ALL the platforms there.
