the default mixer settings, for some inexplicable reason, probe for TWO sound
devices and TWO mixers
Control Centre (big green button) - sound-Mixer-hardware settings
change the default values of '2' to '1'
The 'error' appears in /var/log/messages

then install Win 2000 into a different directory. Since the registries
will be separate all applications will need to be installed under each
OS. You can install the Applications into the same directories with no
problems.
