Well yes, but it
We always need themes, and especially for 1.1.0! That the instruments had a
rehaul just months ago shouldn't stop you from making new GUI's for those,
either. It is a benefit with a lot of skins to select from if we ever want
to change the appearance again, and that will happen sooner or later.

Hi
I think it is also possible to export Illustrator files as actual SVGs
without the info contained in the proprietary blob... though I've always
had good experiences importing Photoshop files in Gimp and Illustrator
files in Inkscape. But really, the last time I used Photoshop was 7
years ago, s

Yes that works well for basic layers, etc, however PhotoS
Well, one thing he can do is use Photoshop and then convert it to .xcf. I
did this for the LB302 artwork. I used Paint.NET which is available for
Windows only, and then I converted the .pdn file to .xcf. That worked like
a charm.

Just note that if you want to make graphics for LMMS, you can't use
Photoshop. All the graphics have to be made with GIMP or Inkscape, and
you'll have to share the
@Vesa
I have to just point out that the latest theme is so much better than the
older one. So Vesa's work has really improved LMMS and I think it will
continue to do so.

VLC and GIMP, yes, not to mention Blender, and my own favorite when it
comes to these kinds of things... In

Yea
That's fine, I'm running on Gentoo myself so command line GIT stuff and
compiling is not an issue. I mainly use GIMP these days but I have a VM with
Windows and Photoshop for when its needed. Thanks again and best of luck with
the 1.1 release!

And one final thing... you probably figured this out already but this
won't compile on windows, so to be able to edit using Photoshop and compile
on the same machine, you'll be stuck using a Mac (which the software will
compile on) or you'll be stuck running two operating systems. For this
reason
Great.
Oh, one more thing... we're almost ready to release 1.1 so please do your
work on master branch (or if you are good with Git, do as Vesa does and
make a dedicated branch for it -- usually requires git command line -- if
you want a dedicated branch for each major change).
But for starters..

Fantastic! I was literally thinking about this issue earlier today.
I've found some of the C++ code dealing with this and am working on it now,

I'm sorry to inform you of this Brian, but this is the upgraded look.

Yeah, you can totally do a theme. LMMS is open to multiple themes and are
finding out a way to make it easier to use. Though If its super amazing, it
is possible that people decide to use the theme.
In fact, we have an alternate theme in the making. You can totally

Hi guys,
I'm new to the LMMS developer community but I hope to contribute some commits
soon.
I'm sure you are probably sick of hearing about the visual style over and over
since it can be themed anyway but I do feel like the default theme is an
important issue. Currently I don't feel like the ic
