How much interest is there in a package for a Citrix ICA Client local app package? I would be willing to help as much as possible (although I am very new with linux). Are there any specific requirements for a local apps package. Maybe just a script to set it up would be nice. = Abraha

2001-11-26 Thread Jim McQuillan
Jeff, The LOCAL_WM parameter isn't used any more. The window manager will run on the server. if you want it to run on the workstation, you would have to figure out all the stuff that Gnome needs, and put that into the /opt/ltsp/i386 tree. Then, to launch it, you would have to setup a .xinitrc

I set up a ThinkNIC as a terminal on ltsp. Works fine. But I need to attach a printer to it. The ThinkNIC does not use "legacy" parallel ports. Printers are supported by the usb ports. Has anyone successfully installed a usb printer on an ltsp terminal? Tom __

Giorgio, The current kernel will handle a local hard drive or local floppy, but you do have to load a kernel module to do it. We are not going to release a kernel with the disk drivers statically linked. it's easy enough to load the module. Jim McQuillan [EMAIL PROTECTED] giorgio rossi wrot
