If it is small enough, it might be nice to add the option to load it into ram. (I can't remember what that is.. maybe zram??) something like what puppy does. A 64bit system with EFI will (almost assuredly) come with enough ram to make using 64bit worthwhile (more than 4 Gig). Just a thought..

It seems that this is a problem with your graphics card, but I am thinking this because you are having more than one graphical issue. Are you using nouveau drivers or did you install a proprietary driver? If you are using the stock drivers that come with Lubuntu, it will be the nouveau ones Di

Hi! The other option is to use the Ubuntu Mini ISO to install it... You can install fluxbox instead of Lubuntu, or you can install lubuntu-desktop and fluxbox, and configure fluxbox to use LXpanels, and PCManFM, etc.. I have a iBook that I installed a Debian Mini ISO on and run JWM/Rox quite well.
