I don't remember when this started but now the dead keys don't work with
qt-3.3.3. This happens for lyx-qt 1.3.4, and for lyx-qt 1.4.0cvs.
Notice that I'm using Fedora Core 2, but I saw this report for Mandrake,
Suse and gentoo, at least.

No. And I belive you are wrong. My guess is that in 1.1.5 the dead key
is always bound to the accent-XX.

deactivate the deadkey event check in sub 'isDeadEvent' in file lyxlookup.C;

just found a small, yet annoying bug relevant for those writing in
multiple languages, who cannot change their keymap constantly:
In forms for search, replace, etc. dead keys do not work (at least with
cua bindings and german menus).
So I cannot replace ñ with Ñ. (Using vi etc. on *.lyx
