Is there documentation on lyx2lyx or where should I ask my questions?
This list is the best place to ask questions about lyx2lyx.

I currently have no time to test it properly, but when ELyXer is able to
convert tricky documents like LyX's EmbeddedObjects, Math, and UserGuide
Right now it is crashing like crazy... give me a day or two to fix the
most glaring errors and I will publish the results so you can
calibrate the effort required.
No need to hurry. Better a stable version than something that perhaps uses workarounds that will be
hard to maintain later.

Today I gave version 0.5 a quick test - keep up the good work!

With version 0.7 you will be able to parse the UserGuide.lyx and
Math.lyx. You will find it here:
http://download.savannah.gnu.org/releases-noredirect/elyxer/
(The usual download mirrors may take long to update.)
Well, 0.7 is already there ;-).
